Nenyi George Andah is the immediate past MP for Awutu Senya West and a former deputy minister of communications in the Government of Ghana.

He has over two decades of experience across consumer markets, largely in the fast-moving consumer goods and service sectors.

He had early appointments as a marketing communications specialist with the MMRS Ogilvy advertising agency, the head of the “Sika” Card Centre for Société Générale-Social Security Bank, and innovation/brands manager at Guinness Ghana Breweries, where he became marketing director.

In 2007 he was appointed chief marketing officer of Scancom plc (MTN Ghana). A little over a year after entering the telecommunications industry, the Chartered Institute of Marketing (Ghana) voted him Marketing Practitioner of the Year.

He moved to Bharti Airtel Nigeria to serve as chief marketing officer, leading the team that rebranded the company from Zain.

The board of Globacom then appointed him chief operating officer of Glo Mobile Ghana, where he led the successful rollout of Glo Mobile’s in-country operations, acquiring a record one million active subscribers within a hundred days of launch. He subsequently became Globacom’s regional director of marketing promotions, responsible for Nigeria, Ghana and Benin.

A founder member of OccupyGhana, he played a critical role in its work to fight corruption and put in place systems to make Ghana work again. He took a back seat on OccupyGhana strategy before entering frontline politics in 2015.

Nenyi Andah holds a Bachelor’s degree in biochemistry, as well as an MBA from the University of Ghana Business School.
